SANDVIK Mining and Construction has released a complete, integrated line of rotary drill pipe tools used for coal mining.
The company says it has launched the line of rotary drill pipe tools to give users the ability to purchase all products involved in the drilling process from a single supplier.
Sandvik Mining and Construction says the new line is designed to handle the demanding operational requirements of drilling hard rock and abrasive formations commonly found in surface mining drilling.
The drill pipe tools have been built to withstand extreme torsional and axial loads. The new drill tools range has come as the result of testing and analysis by Sandvik’s Materials and Reliability Engineering, designed to ensure a range of products designed to meet the requirements of any rotary drilling application.
Products in the range include: drill pipe, made from premium quality, heat-treated seamless tubing, and available in ultra-premium grade for hard abrasive formations; rotary subs and adapters; deck bushings, static or rotary, designed to run smoothly and provide extended trouble-free operation; and shock subs, designed to reduce drill string vibrations.
