EXIMO SpeedLock has released a range of modular dust collectors to optimise safety in coal mining operations.

Dust collectors may be used within coal mining operations to optimise ventilation for miners, or externally to reduce dust emissions and their impact on neighbouring communities.

The Eximo dust collectors come in three models — the rotor collector, bag collector, and the screw collector.

The rotor version is designed for small applications and comes with a bag filter that is emptied with a rotary valve.

Alternatively, the bag collector may be installed inside or outside and comes with fire dampeners with a 69 degrees Celcius safety fuse.

The screw collector is a bag type filter designed for large particles as well as high-air and waste volumes. According to the company, large dust particles are emptied by a screw conveyor mounted in the middle of the unit.

Each of the models are made from 1.25 to 2.0mm galvanised plate steel and are fitted with a micro switch that is connected to the main extraction fan.

According to the manufacturer, each of the units are corrosion resistant, easy to clean, and are efficient and simple to use.
