RUNGE has appointed Hal Morris as a General Manager for its NSW operations.
The global mining technology services company says that Morris will be responsible for the overall leadership, tactical and day-to-day operational management for Runge business in New South Wales with a focus on the Hunter Valley.
Morris has previously worked for Anglo Coal’s Drayton operation. Prior to that he has held a number of operational and technical leadership roles with Camberwell Coal, Coal & Allied/RTCA, Peabody, and BMA in both the Hunter Valley and Central Queensland. Hal’s experience and network in the Australian mining industry will be a great asset to Runge in NSW.
Tony Kinnane, managing director of Runge, says that Hal brings with him over 20 years of experience in coal mining across a diverse range of organisations and mine sites. His extensive experience in operational management and a wide range of technical studies will enhance Runge’s strength in the NSW region.
Hal Morris, general manager of Runge NSW, claims that he joined Runge because it gave him a great opportunity to work with a global leader in the area of mining consultancy services. He says that his main focus for the next six months will be on improving the understanding of NSW minerals industry and how Runge’s capabilities are positioned to support the industry’s needs. Morris claims that he looks forward to strengthening ties in the Hunter Valley region.
